The fifteenth book of the Forever series see Aefre go through some changes with the way she sees things, including her relationships, which has an effect on the men in her life. As she loses two of her husbands, she gains a new daughter that she is fiercely protective over, but will her baby's father let her be a proper mother to her?
She finally confronts her father about the child she lost, but it doesn't go according to plan, nor does her trip to the Light Fae to face the consequences of Sebastian's death tied in with a rescue mission to save Cade from their clutches, causing her to seek solace in the arms of the one man she knows she should stay away from.
Unfortunately, an old lover makes his intentions to stick around known, which confuses Aefre, and her other men, about his place in her life.
Enemies from the past show their faces and Aefre isn't afraid to show them exactly how much she has changed, much to the delight of her blood-thirsty husband. But when one creature she knows she has to kill once and for all shows up, it results in a fight to the death. But whose?
After dealing with the death of a part of herself, Aefre suddenly finds herself at a loss and floundering slightly in the aftermath. Not to mention the repercussions it has on her men and their individual relationships with her.
When Vito blurts out something that she never thought she would hear, especially from him, and no one around her seems to think anything of it, she pulls away, creating a distance between herself and her lovers.
In the event of a tragedy that strikes the castle in her absence, she is pulled back into the fray and after much soul-searching reaches a conclusion as to where she wants her life to be heading. Unfortunately, in true Aefre fashion, she finds herself in the worst hot water she has encountered since the thirteenth century--which is saying something for the woman to whom trouble is wildly attracted to.
It takes an unexpected source to rescue her from her plight, only to be left by her husband who is hellbent on seeking his revenge. While he is gone, Aefre is placed on lock-down and discovers something truly shocking. Something that Constantine will never accept. As she decides to bend the truth, it all comes tumbling out anyway but not before Aefre has her own revenge and decides that life is too short to be without the man she now knows she loves above all others.
However, as the truth of her deceit comes to light, Constantine makes a appalling, spur of the moment decision that Aefre just cannot get over, and it tears them apart once and for all. But as she has come to learn... Is anything in this life really forever?

It was a great ride! Not the ending that I expected but I feel that it worked to some extent. I appreciate your creativity and dedication to this series! As always.....this is my most favorite vampire series!
I have loved each and every one of the Forever books..have grown to know each character. Cannot wait to see if this story continues with a new main character?!
Sorry to see this end. I love this series, but the ending was not what I had expected. But I will miss all the characters. What happened with the other Liv?
I started out loving this series, but I hated the constant drama, lies, and conflict between the lovers. It was still pretty good. Warning though if you have rape, physical, or emotional abuse triggers this is not for you.
What is not to like? This was the best of all the books in the series. One surprise after another. Complex characters we all have come to love and a few we have loved to hate. I could not put this book down. I was up all night reading it. My only issue now is that I want more of this series and it is over with. I am happy to know that there will be more with "Lizzie's" daughters. Can't wait to read them!!!
This whole series was a knockout! Between work, and fighting with my husband about reading so much! I got through it! Never wanting to put it down!
It was pretty good lot of unexpected things happen especially at the end..loved it was a great series to read
